We had been working with the community leadership and one of our partners CORC (Community Organisation Resource Centre) had asked us to co-design a cluster of 8 units in the community. During this design process two shacks burned down and so attention was immediately diverted to respond to this tragedy. Along with 5 community builders we co-built two incremental double storey semi-detached units, all funded by The Western Cape
